This song is about my first year of living in Yokohama and the struggles I faced while working at an eikaiwa school in both Aoba Ward and Tama Plaza area. People think that being a foreigner in another country is a life full of luxury and adventure. It can be at times, but the reality is a lot more relatable. Taxes, bills, falling out of love with a career, noticing the dark side of humanity...should I go on? Japan's corruption is no different than America, if not worse in some ways. The goal is to rise above by enduring until the right opportunity comes. Patience is rewarded with independence.
